Towards the end of March 2013, we made of second mission trip for 2013 to the island of Bohol in the Philippines. We left early Saturday morning and this time around there were four of us on the trip besides the 3 of us we had one of our friends Anita who accompanied us. As usual we had a transit in Manila for a few hours after which we landed in the island of Bohol. This time around, Ps. Pete Valdez a good friend and mission partner in Christ hosted us. We were met by Ps. Pete at the Tagbilaran Airport.

Upon arrival, it was straight to work as we had a full day of events lined up. We made our way straight to the supermarket as we began shopping for items that we had planned to give out to all the inmates at the 2 prisons we would be visiting. It was a lot of work as we had to shop for 600 people. It was then off for lunch to enjoy some great Filipino food with Ps. Pete and our contact for the prison ministry, Brother Reysum Carvero.

We then made our way to the Bohol District Jail. After being checked by the guards, we made our way in and were welcomed by the inmates. It began with a welcome dance and then a time of praise and worship. Ps. Justin then shared the message on the book of Daniel and how with God in us, we have the potential to do great exploits. Veron and Anita then shared testimonies on people who achieved great things in their lives because of God. Ps. Jacquie then ministered a worship song.

We then handed our donated items to all the inmates and then went around the cells to visit them and pray for some of them individually. After this the guards took us the solitary confinement cells where we prayed for the inmates as well. We then made our way to the female cells and spent some time ministering to them.

One of the inmates by the name of Joyle Alipala then presented us with a gift of paintings that he had done.
